chART (Charleston Art) Outdoor Initiative & Gallery consists of public community art spaces supporting contemporary artists working in the visual arts. Our mission is to foster creativity and art excellence; provide exhibition space to new and established artists; provide programs and activities that encourage public awareness, participation, and appreciation of the visual arts and to serve as a catalyst for public revitalization of Charleston via the aesthetics of art.
chART is committed to finding forgotten spaces and blank canvases for artists to transform into community accessible art. chART understands just how important public artwork is to a vibrant, living cultural community and we are committed to making public art possible.
